Paula Pérez

Paula Pérez García was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. She has four children and a great husband. She received her law degree from the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca and a certificate in child development from De Anza College. She is also a graduate of the Mountain View Spanish Civic Leadership Academy. She is a working class immigrant leader whose mission is to serve and support others. She is committed to empowering the working class community to be part of a more equitable and just community.

 

She is co-founder of the Mountain View Solidarity Fund through which she has provided support and hope to the most vulnerable families by accessing local, federal, and philanthropic resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her passion for education motivated her to get involved in different committees and organizations in her childrens’ schools and the community, including the District English Learner Advisory Committee, LUCHA and Site Council at Los Altos High School, FEIAB at Foothill Community College and the Local Early Childhood Planning Council at the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

 

Paula has also participated in other community organizations such as the Community Action Team, Mountain View Tenants Coalition, Latinx Advisory Committee with State Senator Josh Becker and Santa Clara Parent Voices.
